Kaitlin Leonard DACM, LAc.

Without acupuncture, Kaitlin would have had a long and painful recovery from a car accident in 2008 when her car was hit by a drunk driver which left her with debilitating neck, shoulder and back injuries.  With high pain levels that prevented her from sleeping and an intolerance to pain medication, she found that her ability to focus at work, drive her car and even relax were limited.

Acupuncture was a game-changer with lasting effects that not only alleviated her pain, but also reduced feelings of anxiety, and restored her focus and sleep. Inspired by her healing journey, Kaitlin left a career as a biologist to dedicate herself to natural treatment of pain.

Kaitlin enjoys providing evidence based acupuncture, Chinese herbs and cupping treatments and seeing her patients leave the treatment room relaxed and relieved. She received her doctorate degree from the Pacific College of Health and Science where she studied biomedicine, research based acupuncture treatments and integrative medicine. Kaitlin graduated with honors from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2015 where she earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine with a thesis on Chinese herbal medicine.

Beyond her clinical practice, Kaitlin extends her expertise as a faculty member at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and a sought after public speaker and a founding member of the Speakers Alliance. She has shared her knowledge through teaching continuing education courses to nursing staff at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) and has spoken on topics such as the use of herbs for addressing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and the use of Chinese medicine for pain conditions.

Kaitlin lives in Sandy, Oregon where she enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking, cross country skiing and tending to her flock of 15 chickens
